Where are your book drops?
Answer:
Our drive-thru bookdrop is temporarily CLOSED in order to make space for construction material. There is a temporary outdoor bookdrop located in our parking lot on the Sycamore St side, situated in a parking space. This bookdrop was taken from the Rogers Activity Center location; there is not currently a book drop at the RAC. You can drop off items to our temporary outdoor drop 24/7, or bring them into the library during our operating hours.
The library has two book drops at our building, and one off-site book drop.
At the library, you can drop off materials at our:
- Indoor drop box, located just inside the building. The boxes are labeled with separate slots for dropping off books and audio/visual material.
- Drive-thru, 24/7-access drop box located at the rear of the building. There is a carport-style cover and a sign that points to the drop.
If you wish to return items off-site, we have a drop box located in the parking lot of the Rogers Activity Center (315 W Olive St, Rogers, AR 72756). This drop box is available 24/7 and is accessible by car.
Please note that our drop boxes do not automatically check in items! We must remove, sort, and check in each item by hand. During our busy Summer Reading months and after extended closures, check-in processes may take longer than usual. It is normal for an item to remain on your account for a few days after you have returned it!
Our on-site book drops are checked and emptied each morning, and every hour. Items returned there will be backdated to the date the drop box was checked, in the event our check-in processes fall behind schedule. Our off-site drop box is checked and emptied at least twice each week, and items will be backdated as well so patrons will not be charged overdue fees.
