I tried to use the library's resources, but it's saying there's a problem with my account. Can you help?
Answer:
There may be a few reasons why your account is being blocked on our resources:
- Your card may be expired. RPL library cards expire every year. If it's been a while since you've been to the library, your card could be expired. If you are a Rogers resident, you can renew your card over the phone or by coming into the library. Non-residents will either need to come into the library to renew their card and pay the $15 non-resident fee, or you can pay your fee via check and send it to us in the mail.
- You may have the wrong PIN. We all forget our passwords here and there. Staff can reset your PIN at any time - you just need to give us a call at 479-621-1152 or come into the library. We can't see what your PIN was previously because it is hidden on our end, but we can set it to any 4-digit number even if it has been used before.
- You may have fines and fees on your account. If you have more than $5 in fines and fees on your account, the system will block you from using digital resources, logging into our computers, or checking out more items. Give us a call or visit the Checkout Desk to see if your account has an outstanding balance. You can pay for all fines at the library or by mailing the library a check.
