How do I print from my phone?

Answer:

You can print from your phone only if you are at the library. When in the library, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your wifi settings, and connect to the wifi called "RPL_Print."
  2. Once the network is connected, find the document you want to print - whether it's a photo, PDF, or word document you can print pretty much anything!
  3. Depending on the app the document is in, and which kind of phone you have (i.e. iPhone vs. Android phone), the print option can be in a few different places. Typically it is somewhere in the share menu. Locate the print option and tap it.
  4. Once you are in the print dialog menu, select a printer. We have two Toshiba printers available for you to print to and they should be the only ones to appear as options. You can choose either printer.
  5. Make sure you have the correct paper size (we only offer letter and legal sizes), choose black and white or color printing, and decide if you want it double or single sided.
  6. Tap the print button, and it will be sent to the printer.

Don't forget to pay! Black and white prints are $0.15 per page, and color prints are $0.25 per page. This applies to both sides of the paper if the document is printed double-sided. When printing from a mobile device, you will pay the staff at the Information Desk directly. We take cash, card, and check as forms of payment.

If you have any trouble during the mobile print process, let someone at the Information Desk know and we'd be happy to help.
