Can I print from my own computer?

Answer:

You sure can! Make sure you print your laptop to the library, then follow the steps below:

  1. Connect your laptop to our printer wifi, called "RPL_Print"
  2. Go to the document you need to print. This wifi network is mainly used for printing, but it does allow you to still use the Internet if your document is located in your email, on Google Docs, or otherwise requires a network connection.
  3. Use the application or website's print option to print. Make sure you choose your color options (black and white, or color), double- or single-sided printing, paper size (we only offer letter and legal sizes), and how many copies you need.
  4. We have two Toshiba printers available for you to print to and they should be the only ones to appear as options. You can choose either printer.
    1. Typically, both printers will appear when you go to select a printer. In that case, select a printer and click Print.
    2. Sometimes, the printers don't appear automatically. In that case, navigate to your laptop's settings and located the Devices and Printers section. You'll need to add the printers here. The process may vary depending on your operating system, so staff at the Information Desk can assist you if you're not sure what to do at this point.
  5. The document(s) will be sent to the printer and can be picked up.

Don't forget to pay! Black and white prints are $0.15 per page, and color prints are $0.25 per page. This applies to both sides of the paper if the document is printed double-sided. When printing from a mobile device, you will pay the staff at the Information Desk directly. We take cash, card, and check as forms of payment.
