How do reading challenges on Beanstack work?
Answer:
Starting in 2025, Beanstack is our new platform where you'll participate in reading challenges, log your personal reading, and so much more. You can access our site by going to https://rogerspubliclibrary.beanstack.com/ or looking up "Rogers Public Library" in the Beanstack Tracker mobile app. You will need to create an account with a username and password to get started.
#RogersReads 2025 starts January 1st, so make sure to sign up! Complete activities each month to earn badges and a chance to win prizes, and come back this summer to register for and participate in our Summer Reading Challenge. Only one login is needed - no more separate logins for Summer Reading!
Beanstack also includes tools to help you and your family discover books, keep track of your reading, and reach reading goals. Even if you aren't participating in a challenge, you can still:
- Log your reading by time or by book.
- Create lifelong reading habits by reading every day and starting a reading streak. Your streak can be found on your profile.
- Make friends! Add people to your friends group and climb your group's reading leaderboard.
If you want to learn more about how using Beanstack works, login to the mobile app and tap the settings icon, then tap on "Help." Beanstack provides a number of resources that walk you through the reader experience.
To complete an activity and earn a badge (and be entered into the monthly drawing!), follow the steps below.
On the web:
- Click into the challenge you've registered for, and click on the "Badges" tab.
- All available activities will be listed. Click on the activity that corresponds with the book you've read.
- When the window pops up, follow the instructions of the activity and click "Save." This will award you the badge!
On the app:
- Tap into the challenge you've registered for, then tap on the "Activities" tab.
- All available activities will be listed. Tap on the activity that corresponds with the book you've read.
- When the next screen appears, follow the instructions of the activity and tap "Save." This will award you the badge!
