I accidentally damaged an item I had checked out. What do I do?

It happens! It's important that you still bring the item back to the library and let us know, otherwise you will be charged as if the item was lost after 28 days of being overdue. Please bring the item with the damage, and let the staff at the Checkout Desk know that you are returning a damaged item. The Lost/Damage clerk will assess the item and send you a letter with the amount needed to repair or replace the item.
