I lost an item I had checked out. What do I do?

Answer:

If you've lost an item you had checked out, we always appreciate it when patrons let us know the item has been lost. You can give us a call or come into the library, and the Lost/Damaged clerk will bill the item to your account. You will be billed the cost of the item and a $5 processing fee to cover the cost of processing materials (like the call number sticker, protective coverings, etc.).

If you don't let us know the item is lost, you will automatically be billed for it after it is 28 days overdue. Note that you won't be able to use any of our digital resources or check out any more books if your account has more than $5 in outstanding fines and fees.
