What do I need to get a card?
Answer:
Everyone is welcome to get a card at the Rogers Public Library! To become a member of the Rogers Public Library you will need to provide two items:
- Photo identification (driver’s license, passport, etc.)
- Verification of your current physical address that is NOT your ID (utility bill, mail, vehicle registration, voter card, checkbook, etc.) Your name must be printed on this item. This item can be on paper, or a digital copy on your phone. NOTE: P.O. boxes cannot be used for address verification, but if this is how you receive mail, you will need to provide this as well.
For Rogers residents that live within the city limits, cards are free - you pay a special property tax millage for the library, which covers the cost of your card.
For those who live outside city limits, that millage is not charged to your taxes. You will need to pay a $15 yearly fee (about the cost of the millage city residents pay) to get a card, and it covers all members of your household - so everyone in the family can get a card!
Special Cards
If you live outside the city limits, but are a student in Rogers Public Schools, you can get a Student Non-Resident card for only $2.00. Parents/legal guardians need to provide photo identification, verification of current physical address, and sign responsibility for the materials that their child borrows from the library.
We also have temporary, 30-day cards for those who may not be here long term but still wish to use the library. These cards are $5 and you will need a photo ID and separate proof of address.
Reciprocal Cards
We have agreements with two other local libraries that allow some of their card holders to also get a card at RPL - for free!
