Can I bring food or drink when I visit the library?

Answer:

You may bring lidded drinks into the library. This includes bottled drinks, soft drink cups with lids, and coffee cups with lids. Alcoholic drinks are not permitted in the library.

Food is not permitted in the library. Food can create crumbs, which can attract bugs that are dangerous to our collections and patrons. Eating can also disturb other patrons with strong smells and chewing noises.

Exceptions are made for groups that are using the Community Room or Glotzbecker Room. Groups may bring food and drink during their meetings - including snacks, catered breakfasts or lunches, freshly brewed coffee or tea, etc.
