I think I lost something at the library, do you have a Lost & Found?
Answer:
We do! The library holds lost items in a few different areas, depending on which department found the item or how long it has been lost:
- Recently lost items may be held behind the Information Desk or Checkout Desk.
- Lost library cards are located at the Registration Desk.
- Items that have not been claimed for some time may be held in the staff work area.
- Personal or sensitive documents (such as drivers licenses, social security cards, debit/credit cards, etc.) are placed in the library safe and will require a Librarian in Charge to be retrieved. You may be asked to present proof of identity to have these items returned to you.
- Personal or sensitive documents that have not been claimed for some time may be returned to the agency that distributed them (i.e. the bank or the Social Security Administration).
If you think you have lost an item at the library, you can either come into the library or speak to staff by starting a chat or giving us a call at 479-621-1152 option 1. Make sure to describe the item you lost. Note that depending on the item, you may have to provide proof of identity to retrieve the item.
